28 Weeks and update

We had a long appointment today. We were 5 minutes late, so of course we paid for our mistake by sitting extra long. Our appointment was at 8am and we didn't leave there until almost 10am. We saw Laura and everything is still good (heartbeats, blood pressure, cervix, etc.). The ultrasound was interesting. I was getting quite nauseous laying on the table as they pushed around with the ultrasound machine. Both babies are measuring perfectly. The boy weighs about 2lb 5oz and the girl is about 2lb 6oz. Sean wanted to know why the girl was taking all the food away from the boy. The fluid around them is perfect. The girl has her head over on the right side and is laying transverse (across my stomach) while the boy is head down (presenting) with his feet up by his sister's head. The doctor and nurse were going back and forth on how to label the babies since the little girl is more on the right side than the little boy. They label them Baby A and Baby B and want to be consistent at each visit so the growth is tracking correctly, but the doctor finally said that since they aren't the same sex as long as they keep that straight in the charts it should be good. They gave us a few pictures of them, but they are not good pictures. One of the pictures is the boy looking straight ahead and all you can really see is one eye socket (the straight ahead pictures in an ultrasound are pretty skeletal looking) and the other one is of the girl, but I don't even know how to describe this picture. Her spine is at the top and she's looking down, but you can't see her face/profile in the picture, so all you really see is her spine. They give us pictures each time we go for an ultrasound (which is monthly), but none of them have been "good" pictures in quite a while.

Macey seems to be much better today. She had one dose of the medicine last night and then slept with a humidifier going. Her voice is much better today and her cough doesn't sound so seal-like.
