Leap Frog?

Well, not the toy maker, but the childhood game we all played. Camryn's got it down. Miles didn't care one way or the other.

And no, I don't let my kids play with wires. I was vacuuming, looked back and Miles was attacking the cord and Camryn was attacking Miles. I turned off the vacuum and grabbed the camera to catch Camryn in action. No need to call CPS...the cord was removed from Miles's hand right after I took the bag-o-glass from Macey (that was for SNL fans...no Macey wasn't playing with glass).

Finally, I have been able to "hijack" the blog!
(*what do I say? How do I phrase it?...awh, just do it!) - Here goes nothing:
I have a VERY good understanding of what "stay at home" mom means now; exactly who do I now turn this distinction over to? - WOW! That word is now a noun, a verb, an adjective, an interjection, and a gerund... yes, I know gerunds usually end in - ing, but that's the beauty of the "stay at home" situation - now being referred to as S.A.H. (sey) - WOWING is a word in this house! Trust me when mom is at work... lol... lets just say that I could come up with a 20K word count dissertation on just that word alone.

Now to the good stuff - I did not know how much "good stuff" that I would miss out on being a "dad." Project S.A.H. has helped me to get a bond with my kids that I have never experienced, nor did I know that it existed; general tasking even takes on a whole new meaning as well. We have our up and down moments, but it's like Austin weather... give it a couple of minutes and it's back to beautiful ol Austin, TX. I believe (perception is relative) that both, the kids and I have grown from this opportunity - so if my kids are not potty trained until their 8 yrs old or don't know how to walk til they are 4, that's on tha momma - but when they are able to cook at age 3, mow the lawn at age 6, and vacuum the house next week.... well, I won't claim too much of the credit, I will just say "S.A.H."

Stickers

As I was reading to Macey tonight she started telling me "bo bo" and pointing to her leg and pointing to my leg. It took me a second, then I realized that my not so smooth legs were poking her. I had a good laugh, wrapped her legs up in her blanket and kept on reading. I remember calling them "stickers" on my mom's legs. Not Hello Kitty type stickers, but step on them outside and hurt type stickers. I vividly remember sitting on my mom's lap at a doctor's appointment and telling her loudly, "Ouch, your legs have stickers on them" as she cringed and tried to distract me.

One last video...nothing gets in her way. She will climb over Miles to get to what she wants. Determined maybe?

Little Princess Camryn. The first picture was taken second. She was coming to get the camera. Camryn thinks that when you bring the camera out it's time to stop smiling. I did catch one cheesy smiley face of hers (the second picture). She does that face when she's being silly.

Maybe I should've posted this on Macey's post. This is one type of interaction between Macey and Camryn. Priceless.

Hmmm...is this an indication of anything? This toy's a little advanced. Next Einstein? Pat, pat, pat, pat... Ok, not that type of Einstein (Disney channel followers know what I'm talking about).

Camryn playing with another toy. Seriously, this girl loves to be free to roam. So much so that if she's couped up too long, she'll let you know that she's not too happy about it. I was trying to catch her and Miles "fighting" over this thing. They seem to want to play with the same thing at the same time. It usually transpires like this. I give Miles something to play with (I do this often, otherwise he'd just fuss every time I put him down because he'd rather me hold him than explore the floor and all the toys). Camryn watches me as I give Miles said toy. I watch her eyes light up as she gains interest in said toy. Camryn then army crawls/rolls/scoots to where Miles is and "attacks" said toy. Miles starts yelling because Camryn is attacking him and the toy or has taken the toy from him. I then find a toy that is the same (some items we have 2 of the same or similar toys) or another toy that will satisfy him...and then the process repeats.

Here's a short video of Miles cracking up. I was not tickling him at all. I was just moving my head up and down. See, someone thinks I'm funny (even if it's just my 6 month old son who thinks I hung the moon).

Ok, so I mentioned how Miles coughs. Here's proof. Attention getter? You decide.

Mad Miles. Pay attention to the first few seconds...that's his "I'm really mad here, you better get me" scream. Hmmm, does he know how to play his cards or what? Sorry for the crazy movement, I'm pretty sure I was multitasking (imagine that).
